I have a Geddy Jazz with some EB flats on it. I like using flats but I'm thinking of trying some rounds. I have a Precision now that I use flats on so I'm wanting a little different sound on the Geddy.
I play different types of music, old country, classic rock, southern rock, some of the new rock.
I have some EB Hybrids on a Standard Jazz(MIM). They sound good on it. Any suggestions on what to try on the Geddy? What do you use on your Geddy and for what type of music? Thanks.

well, i did not saw it before, so this is my answer. Im using now Daddario XLs 045/100. Was using Dr Lo riders SS, but it was kinda harsh, on felling and sound to my taste. Will experiment it with the nickles XLs ASAP, live.
If i had the chance, i would strung it with DR Sunbeans, the best nickle strings to me, by far, but they are not available now here, in Brazil.

My Geddy sounds great with DR LoRiders ss. I can get Geddy sound through a old Peavey 300 combo with the mids and highs boosted.

I have a set of extra light Curt Mangan nickelwounds
They are just getting on the market, bc Curt Mangan doesnt really mass manufacture them.
Im no expert on bass stuff yet, just been playing for a year and a half, but these are strings made to last. And they have tone I think unmatched by the competitors in the $20 price range

To piggyback your post, I have D'Addario Half rounds on my Geddy Clone (Not a real geddy, I know...) But with the amp set as yours and favor the bridge pup (Bridge all the way up, neck 1/4 off full) and tone half way, I can also find that JAzz growl and approach Geddy Sounds...one does need to dirty up and crunch up with some sort of driver to get really close...
