They had the voice of flats but the attack of rounds, with a bit more top but not much zing. I didn't really see the point of them for my own use, as I like rounds for grind and growl, and flats for fat and smooth, to oversimplify. |

cheaper strings and steel strings tend to have overly hyped upper mids and highs |

I have no complaints with the MTD's I've been using, however. Plentiful lows, and they feel (and sound) great across the entire range. |
