BA, BM, MM, on any bass in all genres

Hi all!
First let me say THANKS for reading this forum. You have all been such great participators and I have learned a great deal!

I have opened my studio to all basses and all genres in three of the music degrees we offer at the Univ. of Arizona. So you can now study within one or more of five "tracks" of genre and repertory study, on double bass and electric bass. You set-up a plan of study for the year that specifies what techniques and repertory you will study and learn, then are self-evaluated (as one component of your grade) at the end of the year. This is a unique way to gain a music degree primarily focused on electric bass! You will receive instruction on double bass too. If upright is your thing, you will also have the opportunity to play electric. Both I and my assistant have extensive experience in teaching bass instruments in a multitude of genres, but we expect the student to be able to self-motivate and bring to us the music he/she really wants to focus on; be it classical, jazz, pop, rock, folk, etc....
If you are really motivated to earn a music degree in bass (ANY BASS!) check out the program by first going to my web site and downloading the syllabus:

Bass wishes to all!
Patrick
