Hey Calvin!

Glad you are doing these pieces. What edition(s) are you reading from? There are mistakes in all of them.
Remember that the BOW makes the sound, so let IT tell you what fingering is necessary.... (WHAT?)... yea! See, if you really really listen you will hear things like glisandi and un-rhythmical (or other rhythmic) fingering that, essentially, the bow will tell you to reconsider. Beware of extentions or stretching, as in pieces like these, you may wear your self out pretty fast. Pivotting is the WAY to go. Speed can best be acheived, I think, via pivots. You do have to keep your ear on the pitch tho'
So, no, I do not have any magic fingerings... because every person is different ("Dragonnetti must of had Huge Hands!"). You must find what fingering works for the sound and the interpretation YOU have for the music.... on YOUR bass. Sorry to be so mushy about this, but thinking about music is the best way to interpret it. And I hate telling other people what they "should" do.
Lastly, send me a private email with your address and I will send you a real CD. MP3 sucks!
