Teacher for old guy?

Patrick,

I see your last comment on Tucson-area teachers is from last year, so I thought I'd see if you have any new recommendations.

I'm 49, and have been playing upright (an Eminence) in a working jazz/swing band for the last seven years or so. However, I've never had any lessons. I just bought a new Thompson, and figure I ought to learn some proper technique.

Is there anyone in particular you'd recommend to teach an old dog new tricks?

Thanks,
Ron

Old is no problem!

I will be back in Tucson in the second week of August. You are welcome to contact me there and I'd be happy to give you recommendations, or we could see if THIS old guy would work out for you. Send a private msg to me via this forum or contact me through my web sites.

If you want to get going right away, again contact me through PM or go to www.arizonabassplayers.org and look on the teachers list.

Best!
PN
