I've inquired about this in another section of TB; however, I didn't get a solid reply.

How do you handle a walking line for Nostalgia In Times Square? If you could help me through the first 4 bars, I would be able to apply that to the rest of the progression.

Hi,
If you listen to Mingus play it (also known as Strollin' on the 1959 sessions with vocalist Honi Gordon) he repeats notes a lot. The stop time is also very important to the tune. Listen to the whole thing and you will hear some other very cool variations with chromaticism and fantastic "drops" or fills. Go to www.allmusic.com as a great place to search any tune or artist for recordings.
