BASS HELP

I have an Engelhardt Swingmaster that I use for my “roots” gigs. Since I have developed Carpel Tunnel Syndrome in both of my wrist I am having a hard time with the thin neck. But, I love the wide fingerboard. So, I was wondering if thier is a bass that has best of worlds, wide fingerboard (like my Swingmaster) and wider neck (like my Shen).

I have pretty much the same set up: Engelhardt Swingmaster for rootsy stuff and a 7/8 Shen. The Swingmaster necks are really thin - so much so that switching feels, well, weird. I like the depth of the Shen neck. The simplest way might be to find a local bass tech and have them swap out the neck keeping the original Engelhardt fingerbard. There would be some work there, but probably less expensive than buying a new bass.
