cheap and good pick up for rockabilly

does anyone know a cheap and goed pick up for rockabilly slap bass i have look at the K&k rockabilly master but he's a little bit to expensive does anybody know an alternative ?

K&K Maxbass usually under a hundred bucks shipped. Been using one for a year now and I'm nothing but pleased.

That one doesn't have the fingerboard pickup, does it? The K&K Rockabilly with the clicky / bridge blender is at least twice that.

Oinils - the alternative to K&K is "Six Rounds Rockabilly Recoil". Do a search on e-bay - these are 80 bucks.
I can't comment on the 6-rounds bridge pickup, but I use the blender box and neck pickup, and it works well for me.

The Maxbass is just a wing pickup. I do all my clickies etc by technique. If I need more clickie/fretboard noise, I turn up the high mids. People often ask me where my fingerboard pickup is mounted and are surprised I don't use one.

i found something on a dutch site its a piezo pick up with a film for under the bridge and one for on the finger board and a pre amp of fishman it have a good revieuw and is really cheap and i live in belgium sow it is cheap for schipping but thanks guy's for al the help

I use the Revolution II from Upton Bass. One transducer and no pre-amp needed.
( maybe you already know of them). $129. I've got them on both my Kays and I could not be happier. I've got a friend in town who is a music store owner/luthier/bassist who likes these extremely cheap transducers -$20-$30. They sound great on his rig.

I use the RSII as well for the bridge pick-up, it works well for me, but I needed more click so added the 6-rounds neck pickujp and blender.

the one on the picture on the link is not the one there is a rockabilly set to with a slap piezo to
i will try to tranclelate it its an thin piezo film that you have to put under the bridge and the other piezo you plaze under the vinger board

I play upright in The Tremors and I have used the K&K rockabilly pickup for years and it works great. I have had a little trouble with the pre amp cutting out the clicky(fingerboard) but other than that it works great. You might want to check out the King Doublebass Dollhead system. It uses a threaded screw to put pressure on the bridge pickup which in turn means greater volume, the system also includes a great stomp box pre amp which looks a lot more durable that a lot of the "clip on" or pocket style pre amps I see. I am going to pickup one up as soon as they become available again....they're currently sold out! Good luck
