is it a good deal

hello,
i have the oppertunity to purchase a Silenzia by Carlo Giordano for $1000 cdn, it is supposedly only a year old. i havent seen the bass yet but that doesnt really matter as i don't know much about basses. i am interested in learning rockabilly bass and i would just like to know if this is a good deal, and if this is a good bass for slap/rockabilly. thanks. Z.K.

Question Silenzia DB by Carlo Giordano for Rockabilly - huh?

jr69(ZK) - are you aware (since you've never seen one) that it is an electric bass? If not, see below:

Rockabilly - ????????????????????
