How would you do this?

How would you play the solo part around the 2 minute mark here?

I'd play it on a home made coffin-shaped electric upright bass with a super short scale length and bumped-over Rotosound nylon strings, and add a vibro-slap to make it sound like I was insanely fast at doing multiple drag-triplets.

He's actually playing it though. Kim is a regular poster on another upright bass forum, and has said it wasn't a vibro-slap.

Also, he's claimed he can do the same stuff on steels, so I don't think the rotos are a big contributor.

Sorry for the third post, but you post on that board too, don't you?

Yeah I am over there too, for a long time now.

I was just kidding above - Kim is a nutter on the bass, insanely good. Almost to the point of creating his own new instrument out of the double bass (well he did, actually).
