Hey PLEASE post up some pictures, lots of them, when you get a chance.

I know they are rustic looking but I think that's very cool - I am bummed I'll probably never see one in person, being out west.

I played one a few years ago and thought it might be the loudest pizz bass ever.
Not my cuppa joe but interesting.

Luke Medley

We have a Luke Medley bass (#165) that he made in 2007. We bought it in 2007, and it has been played in some contests by the winning band (2009 Silver Dollar City Youth in Bluegrass Contest in Branson and 2013 SPBGMA international Band Contest in Nashville), as well as other bands playing his basses and placing in contests (Single Mic Competition, Silver Dollar City, Branson, MO). Luke Medley is eighty years old now (Feb 2013).

He had a bad heart attack a few months ago. I haven't heard if he's up and around again.

He is up and going again. He had open heart surgery and a long recovery. He just got home in feb. He is looking forward to getting back to work asap. I am looking forward to building more basses with him.
I set up a facebook page for him.
