silverslaps?

anyone have much experience with inno silverslaps? kinda leaning towards them when it comes time to upgrade. previously used supernil-whacker hybrids from FMI and loved the hell out of em. my only complaint would be the round windings on the supernil E and A had too much finger noise when amped.

I love the Silverslaps. I think you'll find that a lot of us do. They're a great string for slap and pizz, and I've found you can even bow them a bit. They sound and feel really close to gut, which I personally love.

i never notices any finger noise. The wrapping is nylon. Now, with supernils, where the wrapping is metal, you get tons of finger noise.

Silver Slaps are a great alternative to gut strings, but I always end up going back to guts (at least on the D and G).

I've just gone over to SilverSlaps, after a lifetime of rotosounds. So far I'm really impressed with them, they have a good tone and reasonable sustain, and they're comfortable to play pizz or slap. I've not played guts so I can't say how they compare, but I'm happy with the SilverSlaps right now.

Cheers,

Tony

Great slapping strings - if you or your bass want a little more tension you can use the Super Silvers. Same cool sound, just a little less floppy on some basses.

They rock.
The D/G tone is almost identical to gut, while E/A sound like what plain gut would sound like if you could actually hear it .. if you know what I mean.
The click sound is minutely harsher than gut... if you really want that thunky sound gut is the only way to go.

Fabulous strings.

I've been playing them for about two years and I love 'em. They're nice and thunky and you can play for hours with no bloody fingers.
