slap height

in the main section i asked about the washtub bass.

but i have a question about the slap height. i need something that wont buzz on regular pizz or bow, but easily able to slap with. so how high are the strings on your basses.

About 9 mm measured at the end of the fingerboard. I don't bow.

Same here, one bass just a shad over 9mm and the other is right at 11mm. I bow just enough to be dangerous to innocent bystanders!
