Slapping With Pirastro Permanents?

Has anyone ever used these strings with good results? I'm thinking about putting them on my swingmaster. Right now I'm trying to decide weather to get the Pirastros or Rotosounds. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Unless you are comfortable slapping steel strings, you won't like the Permanents.

Why Permanents?
Curious about this particular choice.
They're rather high tension, and wouldn't be a good slap string, IMHO.

Honestly, I was just listening to a bunch of sound samples and I really liked the sound of the permanents. It's not really a big deal, and I didn't know they were steel. Thanks guys.
