bass solo

Hi,

I've just bought a bass scale book.
it has the pentatonic, major, minor etc scales.

The purpose I bought that book is that so I can do a bass solo while I'm playing in a band,
I played pop and jazz.

So I'm just wondering which scale should I used?
Or Is there a good combination of scales for a bass solo i.e: Pentaonic scale and mixoldyan scale.

Thanks

Regards,
Andrew Sutyono

Many would say learn what the scales sound like. Then the choices on stage are natural and not formulaic.
Just learning scales with the chords in mind should suggest obvious starting places.
EDIT: I'm not a Pro
