It is my pleasure to introduce David Ruby to our 'Ask A Pro' forums here on TalkBass.com. David brings a unique approach to the table, having studied with Ludwig Streicher, David Walter and Franco Petracchi. The focus of this forum is on the issues of german bow technique, along with the Ludwig Streicher method of playing the double bass. I will never forget when I first met David at the BassWorks 1994 Symposium in Canada which he organzied - he gave me an incredible opportunity as a high schooler: to play in a masterclass with Ludwig Streicher himself
