Hey there.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the AG500 - I'm wondering why you prefer it to the DB750.

I wanted a small compact amp that has tone for days and the AG500 fit the bill. The 750 is awesome but I like solid state heads AND the AG500 only weighs 18lbs (the 750 is 43lbs). I find that 500 watts is a good amount of power for any gig I do. I just can't say enough about how simple and "clean" the head is. I get my tones from my basses and I want a amp to just "amplify" my sound, the AG500 is perfect for me.

you can't go wrong with either head!

Thanks for the recommendation. They're hard to find in Australia, but I ended up picking one up second hand on the forums here.

Sweet amp. I cant get over how quiet it is when idling. My Mac laptop is louder!

I played a dual channel in the stores here (RRP $2200!) and thought the saturated channel was a bit take_it_or_leave_it. Better to get the SC and put some overdrive valves in the loop if I really want dirt. (EHX TubeEQ?)

Damn fine piece of hardware. Cheers.
