I'll just make it short and sweet..Been playing the bass for about 5 months and oddly enough, one of the first things i set out to do was slap like flea ..granted, im pretty good at it now. I was just curious as to how i can get my bass' tone to sound similar to that of the one in the rhcp song "can't stop." I've slapped on many basses, and i've messed with many an amp's settings, but i just cant seem to get that super deep thumping tone that's in that song. If anyone can be of any help, it'd be super appreciated i play a jay turser jazz bass btw :P not the greatest, but it gets me by.

I know some people dont care, but Ray and Flea have WAY different slap styles. Might be asking the wrong forum. maybe move this to technique?
