Arrhythmia

Glad you dig the cd.
I did use my Fender for that whole CD with the exception of a track with my Zeta upright.

I'm real excited to record with my ZON!!!!!

quick additional question...

Hi Ray...just had my mind blown by 'Ornithology' and I was wondering, are you stringing you fives with a low B or a high C? Based on my listening I'm thinking high C, but was curious to find out for sure.

Thanks for your time,
J.

Glad you like "Ornithology".
That was recorded with a Fender jazz 5 string tuned EADGC.
I use that tuning for almost all my basses. I also use a hipshot so I can "de-tune" as well.

Hi Ray,

I just heard you've been seen gigging in Tucson. Are you living here? (I live in Tucson) Or are you commuting?

Also checked out the pics of your Spalt Maple Zon Mosaic. Man, that bass is off the hook! I didn't know Zon made basses with wood necks and Fingerboards. I'd love to catch you sometime. Where can I find your gig schedule for Tucson?

Thanks for the info! I just bought an old Peavey TL-5 (killer bass...absolutely killer...unbelievably undervalued) and have begun the E-C transformation. The local GC had a detuner in their clearance bin that they couldn't give away so I figured it was karma and I had enough spare/old strings around to put together an E-C set. The spacing on the TL-5 is around 19mm, so perfect for slapping.

You will now excuse me while I disappear off to the practice room for a few months to work on my thumb technique

Thanks again,
J.
