Could I put a medium tension 4/4 strings in my 3/4 bass? Could it work? Thank you!

string tension

I'm working with a low A string tuned a whole step down to G. It has less tension and requires quite an adjustment in bow speed to produce a good sound.
Are you using more pizz than arco?

back when i was borrowing a bass from my middle school(it was horrid dont do it) my private teacher extended me the courtesy of 3/4 or 7/8 size strings to replace the garbage on the half size i was borrowing. that worked out fine so i wouldnt see why 4/4 strings wouldnt work on a 3/4. are you getting these from someone, or are you buying them, because if youre buying might as well get the right size. good luck
