5-string convertion

I have this fanthasy of converting my 4 stringer to a 5 stringer. Without making any reinforcing on the bass.
The principal is a matter of string tension. There should be possible to match the tension of a Spiro Mittels 4 string set with a 5 string setup. Lets say a set og detuned Spiro Solos and a Stark E for the low B.

What do you think?

is the neck big enough to support 5 strings, or will there be too many strings in too small a space?

imo, just get a 5 string, or enjoy the 4, save the headache.
