advice on make of string

hello talkbass members,a friend of mine recently purchased a bass from czechoslavakia,please excuse spelling.,the colour of the winding on the strings was e-blue,a-black,d-blue,g-black. could someone possibly tell me the brand of strings,as i found them to be easy on my left hand ,but very even and punchy all over the range of the bass.cheers.bob jackson nz

Is the bass a new bass? If so the bass may be from the Strunal factory and the strings their factory strings they ship the bass out with.
