Bass string audio samples

I find a nice collection of audio samples of Double Bass strings on a bassist, hervé Jeanne's site. Hi really care to make true image of the strings, he use the same mic, same bass, same music etc.

Thanks for posting the link! Quite helpful hearing some of the subtle and not so subtle differences between each string. I've been working with Obligatos/guts for quite awhile now and love their "vintage" tone.

Thank you so so so much for posting this... I've been wanting to experiment with new strings, but I'm afraid to because of the prices... And this site has the 3 sets I'm trying to decide between.

Helpful as that site may be, it's important to keep in mind the strong interactions that can occur among strings, basses, and players. That is to say that the differences/characteristics you may discern from listening to the recordings may not be representative of those that you experience when those same strings are installed on your bass.
