black DB string from a german company? help identify!

I was in Padova this summer and met a bass player at one of his gigs. I tried his instrument and it had these black strings on it. He told me that they're from a German company and that I could get them here in the US. Any idea as to what they are?

I think these are the Presto Jazzicatos, sold by Jonas Lohse.
I've not seen them at any retailer on this side of the pond.
(I got my set directly from Jonas)

Do you remember their yarn color? And how did you like them?

The Presto Jazzicato have an orange (or red; there are two versions) yarn color. They don't have a gut core, but a steel rope core.

Effrano?

Could it be Effrano gut bass strings? I've bought them through Lemur, they're German and they have a black varnish.

I have black strings made by Gerold Genssler (Sonores Strings) in Berlin (his CORAX model), but they are all black, top to bottom. They're gut with a black plasticky wrapping.
