Bradetich's Strings

Does anyone know what strings he uses on his original or his copy(ies)?

Thanks!

When I saw him play around 5 years ago, I thought I saw a spirocore E (with the extension on, which I think he said was a new addition), a D'addario orchestra A, and original flatchromes for his D and G strings. The D and G might have been eudoxas instead I'm not sure.

I didn't ask him, I just remembered seeing a bunch of different strings on his bass and thinking that was neat. He could likely have put anything on any bass and would have still sounded great.

In the slightly fuzzy photo in the UNT I see red, yellow, violet, violet which I interpret to be a Spiro extended E, a Permanent A and 2 Original Flexocores.

No guarantees but I think that's it.

The strings that we know today as Original Flatchrome used to be called Eudoxa. Seriously. Some folks called them Eudoxa steels to distinguish them from the gut core Eudoxa strings, which are a completely different animal.

Nice reminder Jim. I really wish Pirastro would go ahead and re-name the Eudoxa Steel/Original Flexocores or the Flexocore '92s and the same with the Flat Chrome Steel and the Original Flat Chrome Steel. Its unnecessarily confusing....
