Gamuts are no where near in my budget, neither are Dlugolecki's as I am just a student. I've been looking at Lenzners, Labella, and the Lemur Music guts. Any thoughts or opinions?

If you lurk around long enough, you may score a great deal on some used Gamuts or Dlugolecki's with plenty of life remaining right here on these very boards. I did. Why not put a WTB ad out in the classifieds for a day or two and see what happens.
Good luck,
Thomas

I know that my mileage may vary and everybody's experience will differ I was just looking for some general opinions. I've also been looking at the Lenzner Jazz wound D and plain G. Has anybody tried the Jazz set?

If I could afford it, Gamuts would be the thing. Then I might make the switch back to guts. |

The pair I'm on now seems to be a bit darker than the first ones - maybe it's my imagination, or my bass has changed somewhat, or maybe there is enough variance in the finish product that one string will differ a fair amount from the next... Hard to say until I play the hell out of these for another few months. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
