Changing from synthetic gut to steel string

at the same time 4 years ago i had a new finger board put on and a new set of spyrocores put on my bass. Eventually, i switched to obligatos, and there was some buzzing so i took it shank to get it planned to allow for more vibration, and stop some buzzing. Now i want to switch back to steel core strings, after the additional planning was done. Will i be able to play with steel strings on this bass, or am i stuck with obligatos for ever.

Stuck? Man, you're never "stuck" with nothin'! I would think the board planing would be beneficial, regardless of your strings. Buy a set of steels and try them before you worry too much about it.

+1 You might have ended up with a tiny bit more relief than your new Spirocore Weichs or whatever need but it won't wreck anything. Just play...
