Chorda strings

Does anyone out there know anything about the quality of Chordas...especially the D and G? Do they stay in tune, bowing, projection for pizz. etc. They seem pretty expensive to me which is why I haven't been able to justify taking the plunge. I use a Velvet-Anima G and a D Innovation and sometimes a Velvet-Blue for the D. I've tried every other possible combination of guts(natural and synthetic and steal-wound in addition to various other steals with little to no success. Any thoughts?
Many thanks!!
