I could not agree more.

I loved your comment about Obligatos being wet noodles. That's just the way I feel about them.

I just ordered a set of Pirastro Chromcors, it was a piece of advice from Francois. They are supposed to have that same stiffness of the Dominants. I needed a steel string that resembled the Dominants because I take my bass apart once in a while (I have a bass with a detachable neck), so the breakage factor could be a problem in the long run. I'll keep you guys posted.

Chromcors also stay intune very easily. I've carted my bass in a truck in negative degrees from Toronto to Montreal and it was still in tune.

Could you describe their sound and feel?

Stiff, not very supple yet soft under the hand. They felt and sounded similar to Dominants
