Cordes Lambert( N. .dubouchet strings)

hello,

it's been quite some time I test gut substitution and I just discovered les cordes Lambert, it's unbelievable I feel like a set of plain gut mounted on my bass, same tension, I think those frenchies have solved the A & E tension problem, big volume, same touch and color and really cheap for this quality, 60$ shipping include.

Looks a lot like weedwackers. Are they similar?

I've swapped mails with the guys behind Lambert strings.
They feel they've done something more than make another cheap gut substitute. They've done their reserach, and worked hard.

They believe they've improved on the weaknesses of plain gut E and A without compromising on tension / click tone / balance (that comes with hybrid / wrapped E/A strings) ... tone, sustain, tension all an improvement on plain gut.
And improved on other nylon whackers, matching thickness, look and feel of plain gut.

If that's true, these will be very special strings.
Other whackers are like gut, only not quite as good.
These may be like gut, only better!

I'll find out soon.

This may be a weird question, but are they any good for arco? I know that guts are supposed to be good for every playing style, but I don't have the money for a good set of guts, but for $60, if I could get a string that does everything that guts do, and sound that good, I'm sold.
