Cordes Lambert/wound A & E?

I'm playing Spiro Mittels on my hybrid Hungarian factory bass now and am happy with the volume and definition but I can't slap them to save my life. Can anyone suggest strings/string mix that would let me slap more easily. From what I gather weedwhackers are ok on the D & G but lack definition on the E & A.As I play pizz most of the time I know I may be compromised in my choice.I don't plan to play arco any time soon.Cordes Lambert are getting a lot of love right now but maybe there's something more suitable out there for me ie Velvets, etc.
Ideally I don't want to go too thick a guage or sacrifice too much acoustic volume either.
Possible or not?
Iain

I just got a set of the Lamberts Deluxe with the unwound E and frankly I'm underwhelmed. If you play 100% slap you might like them but pizz they have little volume and are difficult to start with the bow. I'm liking the .095 Lambert G next to Spiro Mitts, however.

I've been using the Lamberts for pizz, and my experience is that at least on my bass you have to get the string height up pretty high and then they can be really loud: my G is around 12mm, E around 16mm. Also it takes the E at least a month or more to start to develop good definition.
