d string suggestions

Hey guys, after tons of experementing as of late I have settled on using spiro heavy E mittle A, dominant D and oliv G, the only problem is the dominant is just abit too thin compared to the oliv G for me, do you guys have an suggestions for a D that is thicker than the dominant but in the same sort of sound and tension department? I was using an E P but I've broke two of them on different basses so far so they are out of the question right now.

Dom D is .065., Oliv G is .070.

Oliv D is .085, superflex is .074. EP is .070.

Eveything else is smaller. I'm thinking Oliv D.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking too, I'm just sick of replacing the oliv d every 6 months or so because it unravels, maybe I'll try the Evahs again at least they are cheaper than the olivs if I need to replace them. thanks

Try writing Pirastro about your EP's breaking. Back when I used Chordas, I wrote them about how my A kept unraveling even when I was very careful putting it on. They were very understanding and came through in the end.
