| Dlugolecki/Lenzers or Ganuts with Animas? I have played Garbos for a while but after few breakages and some time off I am playingon some Spirocore weichs. I love gut and I am leaning toward Dlugolecki but still considering Gamut Lyons.or Lenzners on the D and G. For jazz what do you guys think will be the best bet.The major decision is what to put on the bottom. I don't mind the weichs all that much but I love the sound of the Garbos the problem is the Garbos started to get very spongy and the response was not what I needed it to be. As hard as I pushed I was always on or behind the beat. I need a E and A string that has a dark erathy tone, allows me to hear my bass not the string, but that speaks well but responses like steel. The response of the spiros is amazing but I much prefer the gut sound. In a perfect world there would be a gut string with great response that stayed in tune like a spiro, and made the walls vibrate without the buzzy metal sound Are the Animas my only option? Lastly i am interested in the velvey tailpiece chord will it loosen up my bass and add to the gut experience. Help me out guys any adviceis great advice, let meknow what you think. Thanks
