I have the same question! I want to order a set but all I get is threads to the forum. It's like he doesn't want to be found or I am not the best researcher. Does he have a site I want to order ASAP. Someone! Anyone! I heard that he makes strings out of this word. I need a link to get to the hiding bugger, bless him.

You can get him on this e-mail geroldgenssler@gmx.de he answers pretty quickly and is very informative, after talking to him his new Original 2010 might work better for me as I use Olives and EP's and play some arco in project I'm involved in. This is what he wrote:-

Dear Laurence,

Mingus's quote could come straight from me. Thank you for that!

STRINGS

Just yesterday I sold my WRAP set to a client who had a complete OLIVE set on (all 4 strings had loose windings) and the improvement of sound and playability was amazing.
I think that this set could be the choice also for you (Ben Street swears by these strings). Regarding bowability I must say that there are a lot of classical players who use them for Baroque Music or music of the classical period (like Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert in historical performance practice) and who like their easy response and warm tone without missing their gut sound-quality. For modern bowing (modern bow, higher pressure, higher bow-weight) I recommend my ORIGINAL 2010 set. Here all the strings are made of my black covered gut material roundwound with metal and sanded. 2010's sound is not that "gutty". Because of the metal surface it is not so
open and more compressed but nevertheless much better than CORDA or EUDOXA.

Both WRAP and 2010 are easily to amplify (for a really natural amplification I recommend a brand new contact microphone (capsuled) which workes together with my strings in an ideal way. You can purchase it here). You asked where you can try my strings and I must inform you that I don't sell my strings to shops or dealers. I'm a jazz player and make only small numbers of strings - custommade and only on demand. If you are interested you find a lot of comments in the web.
Sorry about my english - I can't do better...
Best regards

Hope this helps
