The D'Addario Helicore Hybrid Mediums are:

Gauge - G .053, D .059, A .082 & E .120 inches
Tension - 62, 66, 67 & 68 pounds

I need to update the Tensions & Gauges Sticky. Soon.

That still doesn't give me the guage. The tension...but not the guage. Anyone use these and can measure for me? Much appreciated.

In the Hybrid lights, I have the A and E.

A: 2.08mm (0,082 ")

E: 2.80mm (0,110 ")

Hope this helps!

Thanks Francois,

That does help. I still would love to find the D and G guage. Do you know if the arco series (Heavy, Medium, Light) are the same guages as hybrids?

Not sure about the Arco, but the Hybrid Medium and Pizzicato Medium A & E are the same gauges - .082 and .120 respectively.

Oops...duh, my bad.

I hate it when manufacturers don't make that info readily available

That's why we've made our own String Gauge Sticky. Version 2.0 is almost ready for publication, pending a string size confirmation.

The Gamut Gut site is the only maker's with string gauges and tensions - everybody else just publishes tensions.

I wish gauge AND tension were a regular part of string ID. The sticky you guys have created is REALLY helpful to me and my students. Anyway, I guess I will break down and buy a set of the hybrid lights. They aren't that expensive anyway. Seems like they have similar tension/gauge as weichs. still, if someone reads this in the next week and can measure the G and D on a set of lights...let me know!
