Question Helicore Lights v. Corelli's

Because of some arthritic problems with my hand, my doctor recommended I move on to lighter gauge strings. I'm wonder, for purposes of orchestral playing (primarily arco), would I be better off with Helicore Orchestral light gauges or Corelli 370M's or 380's mediums? Both brands seem to have light gauge strings, so I'm focusing more on sound. Thanks, Brian

The Corellis are the lightest.

I'm a big Corelli fan for the same hand/arthritis reasons. I find that both the 370 and 380 TX & Forte gauges are light enough and give a much more robust sound than the mediums.

The tone is brighter with the Corellis than with the Helicore orchestral lights.
If you want a dark tone, you may think of Jargar Dolces or solo Flexocors (tuned down at orchestra pitch).
