Hybrid review/anyone have reccomendations?

OK, so I tried out some D'addario hybrids since i play both arco and pizz (although most of my focus is arco). I've had em on my bass for about a month and a half now. I loove the E and A string (especially A)....they speak really well, maybe a bit to bright for some people but I love the bow responce and they get a nice growl, but not too much. However, the D and G strings are very inconsistent with the E and A, as if they were from a different set. The G is tollerable, a bit to bright, but feel and playablility is nice. The D string is way to bright and harsh for arco. But for any pizz player, all the strings give a nice sound, just a little wirey sounding until you break em in.

So, if I wanted to replace the D and G strings with another type of strings that are good for both arco and pizz, which should I go for? and also, if anyone knows any D or G strings that are pretty consistent to the D'addario hybrid E and A, I would like to know. Thanks!

i had the D'addario orchestrals before trying out the hybrids. They took care of the consistency problem before, but a bit too much tension and a not so good pizz...Good news is i talked to my teacher and he said he might have a couple spare strings for me to try out...I havent yet tried all the strings around...is that something most people have to do before they find the perfect set or combo of strings?

If you can, you'll save lots of money!

I was thinking of Corellis, but they're not quite dark.

Oh, and my suggestion was Helicore orchestrals D&G with your Hybrids E&A.
