Jargar Dolces!!!

I play pure slap bass, not that i dont enjoy all other styles this is just what I do. Well I just ordered a shen sb 80 from upton about 2 weeks ago, and told them i wanted it strung with Jargar Dolces, since there was big rave about them over at rockabillybass.com, and i read alot about them over here on the searches i did, about how they were the closest gut sounding steels. Now the guys over at rockabillybass are saying that windings started coming off, and they havent had them on for very long (2 guys to be exact). One of them only had them on for 3 months. So do any of you know if they are good for slap? or they like obligatos wich arent realy recommended for slap, because they unwind also?

I have an es9 from upton on guts and a rev. solo II, and love that natural old school rockabilly sound i get, but i also play psychobilly wich alot of times the drums are realy loud and have to play with 2 guitarist with full stacks, so i wanted to get a bass that i would be able to amplify pretty loud without feed back, so im taking the whole magnetic pickup route, but im going to be blending it with a rev solo, to try to get close to a natural sound.

he is playing the jargar dolces on his kay, this is pretty much how i play also, let me know if you guys think these strings could take this abuse. (the sound and video are off by the way)
