Jazzers

Just got a set of Jazzers. Gonna put them on tomorrow...I'll holler with the results. Replacing Helicore Pizz with a heavy E (which work really well for my bass, BTW). It's hard to get good strings here in China!

G&D are INCREDIBLE! I'm keeping my Helicore Pizz medium A and heavy E...Jazzers lacked huevos. The balance between strings and tonal match are excellent. VERY stoked.

Ya, they're great strings aren't they? Def G&D are the best of the bunch.

Just played the Jazzers again....dang, they are NICE strings for pizz! VERY clear! I really dig them in combination of the Helicore Pizz on the A and E. BTW, the heavy E REALLY roars on my bass. Happy days!

You know, I would have said the opposite. I find them a pretty nice matched set, but I always prefer something to the G (it's been Orig Flat Chrome for a few years).

I'm okay with the D, but the E and A are wonderful, I think in my moments of weakness when I think about trying things, I usually consider the E & A my go to bottom for whatever I would want up top.

Nice, under-rated string set, no doubt. I'm glad you're enjoying them.

I've been experimenting all winter with Jazzers on the E and A....several others on the D...and a Lenzner G.
In the past I have not gone with the Jazzer D because of it's initial "tinny" sound.
However I finally went back to the Jazzer D and ignored the "tinny-ness" for two or three days. Slowly the "tinny-ness" disappeared and now I am very happy with what's left....a good solid sound that matches the Lenzner gut G quite well.
We had a band practice yesterday and I was very content with the sound of the three Jazzers and the gut G.
Finally......don't have to mix and match every string!
It's been a long trip. Two of the Jazzers strings have been in my drawer for a couple of years and I recently bought a used A for a spare.
I'm glad I finally gave the Jazzer D a longer testing period on my Eberle. Lesson learned!

+1
Specially the jazzers E compared to the spiro weich E which I had before is more clear, with strong and warm transparent bass. Very pleasant to hear and play.
