Kolstein heritage E,A,D with Eurosonic G

Lately I have been using the Kolstein Heritage E,A,D with a Eurosonic G (medium gauge) and have really been happy with the feel and sound of this set up. The strings I usually use are Spirocore Weichs, or obligato E,A, with Oliv D,G mix (which I really dig as well) but I feel for jazz the kolstein/eurosonic mix has been the most enjoyable to play (although the eurosonic is awful with the bow). The G gets a real nice and full pizz sound that blends great with the kolsteins. These strings have really low tension and they just add so much character to my sound. I blend a wilson pickup with an EV RE 20 mic into the Dtar solstice mixer and into the first channel on my Epifani UL 502 through a berg Ht112. This set up has been great for clarity and oomph/bounce while playing pizz. I am just curious if anyone else here has experimented with the kolsteins or eurosonics and in particular with this mix?

What's the sound on the Kolsteins like? I'm thinking of checking them out myself.

I have been a fan of the Heritage and am now returning to them after experimenting around!! Probably will keep my Evah G though.

I did the Eurosonic thing this summer. I really liked them for what they were. Started with the Ultralights - they had a nice, mellow, controlled-growl sort of thing happening on top of that gut-ey pop/boom. Very low tension, easy on the left hand, but lacking in punch somewhat as a result. I should qualify that by saying that they sounded great recorded with a mic in front of the bass - more definition, much better than I expected - but they didn't really seem to cut it pizz in a live setting with a pickup. Almost but not quite.
The Lights got a bit better - they're darker than the ultralights, but the added tension (we're still talking fairly low here) added some punch. Something I didn't like about the E though.

If I'd spent some more time with both sets, I'm sure I could have learned to pull a better sound out of them, or found a better E to pair them with. I guess I didn't see the point in making the time investment for a string that can't be bowed. I traded for a set of Evah Weichs and am much happier. They've tightened up the low end on my bass, I'm getting that 'punch you in the gut' feeling that I've been looking for when I play it now.

I hadn't really combined the Eurosonics with anything else, but if one was looking for a G/D to pair with, say, Spiros on the bottom, either would be a good match for pizz.
