KolstienHeritage -Alternatives -Bel cantos? Evahs?...

I enjoyed using the Heritage strings over the last 3 years (2sets) .I like them much better than the Spiros I was using previously.
I find they have a good volume , sustain , nice easy tension under the fingers and a nice pizz tone .
The problem is that although the Heritage bow better than the Spiros they tend to choke when bowed and they need to be played to closer to the bridge . They also are some what harsh and bright (My bass is a1950's Wilfer (carved)- a bit on the bright side tone wise). I'm thinking of trying a different hybrid string . Any observations or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanx

I'm thinking of Obligatos and Evahs, if you want another synthetic core string.
