Need this comparison

Could someone tell me the differences in tone (brighter, darker, well matched?) and in volume (tension?) between the original flexocor A and the '92 Stark A. I currently have a stark G and D and original A on. I am happy with all but the A it seems not to be as dark or as loud as the others.
Thanks

In my book, the stark A is a tad brighter than the Original, so if the Original is not dark enough, you should forget the stark A.
The darkest (steel) A string I know is the Jargar.

Tone aside, what about tension?

I haven't done a direct comparison but any Jargar will have less tension than the stark.

Well I installed a 92 stark and here is the comparison:
92 is very close in tension to the flex original maybe slightly tighter
92 is brighter but louder
92 is brighter than the top (G and D) two 92 starks
volume is even

I think will adjust my sound post to give my lows a boost in depth (I recently had it moved to battle a wolf....I noticed a decrease in depth of my low end)
