Need Help with String ID

Guys, I have a bass here with strings unknown to me but I kind of like them.

Soft, puffy, open sound and they roll under the fingers like Obligatos.

Hollow ball ends, black silks at the tailpiece, olive green with yellow rings at the scroll end. M. Blais? Anybody? I know TROIKA diesn't even bother with the 'Strings' section anymore.

Wow. Jake man you hit the jackpot!

That there is the ubiquitous Spirobligazi Flexagut Animagarbo string. It was wound in the late 1820's by Spirobligazi himself while on his deathbed. He had an early version of an IV attatched to his leg that dripped directly into the windings giving them that subtle sheen that is unmistakable.

Those strings are reported by many prominent bass shops to be Italian in origin but we know by the look of the last twist before the ball they are clearly German.

Worth a pretty penny those are. I suggest hanging on to that string, maybe put it in a showcase on the wall.

It's priceless.

Since they roll like Obligatos, it doesn't matter how priceless they are in the end. It'll be in the string drawer soon enough.

Wait a minute. He says he likes them? I don't know what to believe anymore.

Just got my camera back and dumped out these pix.

I know they're not Spirobligazis because they only came in Solo Gauge.

Anyone?
