New Bass, Unknown strings

My new bass came with strings I have not seen before, and can't find any information on (tried the search, but came up empty). They are a kind of maroon/purple on the Tailpiece end, and different colors on the nut end:

E= Green
A= Black
D= Red
G= Brown

Any guesses? Thanks!

Some Chinese companies ship their basses with these strings, made in China. Not particularly recommended.

This is a Romanian plywood, if that helps...

Maroon purple at the tailpiece suggest Flexocors (92s, not originals) to me. I don't know about the silks at the scroll.

The peg end colors match to Pirastro's color code for orchestral tuning.

Thanks guys...I found an image of the Flexocors online, and they are an exact match...even the black, flat-sided ball-ends are exact.

I guess that explains the dark pizz tone, short sustain and excellent bowing properties of these strings have!

At least I know what they are now...somehow that makes me feel better

I never cared for the Flex 92 pizz sound on my bass, but since I'm an orchestral player, I loved the way they felt under the bow. I don't have them on now, but I'm likely to return to them next time I need strings.
