Orchesdtra/quintenstimmung/solo size?

dear forum,
Im a newbie looking for the right strings..I opened juststrings .com and read that the Spiros come in three 4/4 sizes:
Orchestra,quintennstimmung and solo.
Anybody kind enough to explain what this means?
All I know is the solo is tuned a whole step higher.
Thanks
Robert

Orchestra means orchestra tuning: E A D G
You can get these Spiros in three gauges: Weich (soft), Mittel (medium) and Stark (heavy).

Quintenstimmung is fifth tuning: C G D A (aka Red Mitchell set)

Solo-tuning is F# B E A, but you can use them at orchestra pitch in a extra-light gauge setup. (they're thinner than the Weichs)

Hope this helps!
François
