| | | | pirasro eudoxa VS spirocore I play jazz and classical music equally. I know spiros are better for jazz and eudoxas are better for classical. Would it be okay to play jazz with eudoxas? How bout play classical with spiros? which one would be a better investment for a 50/50 musician as myself who wants one of these?

People do play classical with Spirocores, but most people would agree that its more work than is ideal, but if you want to spend some time adjusting they can work. Weich and solo gauge tend to be less work with the bow than Mittel or Stark.
Eudoxas used to be very popular E and A with OLIV D and G for Jazz, whether using the bow or not. I had a set or a few strings, I don't remember now, for a while and they are nice strings. There is a durability problem with them (or can be) and they are expensive. They are also a lot darker than steel strings and with any gut string, it's a great sound, but can sometime not be heard clearly (at least by the person standing over the bass) in the throws of a jazz band in a loud room.
I'm not sure how you came down to these two choices, there are a lot of others. Evah Pirazzis will come up very soon, so I'll just throw them out there. Sort of in between, synthetic core, bow well, work well in a jazz context for those people who like them, not everyone does. My experience with both gauges is that they weren't that clear in those live jazz settings.
Search on "hybrid" strings, that sounds like what you're looking for. There are a lot of other choices if the one's that have come up so far don't sound right to you.

Weichs will be more comfortable coming from Corellis, I would think. And they are easier under the stick.

You bass may really open up as the result or not, you'll have to see. They can be a little harder to bow, but if you tried them and liked them, then don't worry about it. They are great jazz strings and some classical players use them too.
They are also a very liquid investment. If you have buyer's remose after a month, sell them here or offer them in trade for weichs.
