Bob,

If you pinch the E and A strings on the obligatos and roll them perpendicularly, you will find that they have excessive roll. At least that was my experience. I put the Innovation 140B
E string on today and my articulation improved ten fold. The excessive roll prevents the string from responding to fast changes in bowing direction. I don't know how it affects pizz because I only play classical music. I don't have Fuqua touch.
