Please Help ID'ing Corelli set

Hello,

In an exchange deal, I received what was supposed to be Corelli 370 F set but it looks funny to me
Corelli site is of no help and quinnviolins applet doesn't show anything useful...

Could you check these photos please?

E
ball end: dark green with red ring
peg end: light blue

A and D seemed to be the same string, there is no difference in gauge, weight and color coding at all!
ball end: black with red ring
peg end: black

G
ball end :dark green with red ring
peg end: black with gold (yellow) ring

Help please

Forte TX (extra tension), would be my guess, though that color difference and lack of gauge difference is weird.

The 370 F have black twist on orange silk at the ball-end.
So this isn't what you got.
The A & D are the same string, that seems obvious.

Dark green with red ring?
Strange.
The 370TX use black with red ring.
The 370M are dark green, but no ring...

One thing is sure: you didn't get 370Fs!

Could green+red ring correspond to the Corelli 380? Or maybe 360?

I wrote that the 370M had green silk, but that's a typo.
Should read 380M. (but still no ring)
(380TX are black with a yellow ring)

The 360 are black with a pink ring.

they're extra-forte (TX)

don't ask me why one of the strings is green instead of black I don't know why...that's the way they came when I got my set

Ok, so I have the E, A, A and G from the 370TX set? Or E D D G?

Just a followup: I've sent them back. As Jonny L told, they were the 370 TX but my set had two A strings instead of A and D.

Finally I received the mail from Savarez, strings with dark green silks are for 1/2 basses, I have no idea why the regular 370 TX E and G had them. Maybe production mishap...

Their fractional size strings are only available in medium gauge. (although you may special order them in TX gauge. At least the 1/2 size ones...)

Corelli ID chart

This is an old, old thread, but in the interests of keeping clutter to a minimum...

I recently contacted Savarez with a query concerning what turned out to be a set of 380M strings (they were identified as 370TXs by the guy I bought the bass they were on from, but didn't sound or feel like what I was expecting), and they sent me this spreadsheet useful for identifying their strings. I thought someone else might also find it helpful. I've also uploaded it as a PDF in case there's someone in the world that doesn't have a spreadsheet programme.

The black and yellow are 380 TX's for sure. I have used them myself.
