best of luck,

The sole Pirastro brand that comes to mind is the "Jazz Bass" set which was very short-lived and had some kind of red silk at the tailpiece.
I had a set about 30 years ago, but I don't remember if there was a black ring near the ball, sorry.

The ruby in these silks in a dead ringer for Flexicore 92s, but I don't think they had the black band.
I'm 0-2 today on string IDs and as I said in the other thread...I love this game.

On the ball end sides you can read "HS" on one side and "1" on the other. But this is a high C string which is rather unusual.
I don't have the other strings from this set since this was a bit lower tension replacement for a high C Spirocore which had too much tension for my taste when I got the instrument.
I think you best contact Adrian Müller at Pirastro to check your string with him. |

I don't know what happened in between, but I think the customers were not happy with the new ones and the formula was changed to the (post)92 Flexocore. |

The string is a Flexocor called "new version Flexocor".
The black ring silk on the tailpiece was wound in 91-93 to indicate that this is the new version. |

The previous Flexocors were renamed Original Flexocors, and their silk color changed to purple.
