Pyramid strings

Mornin'
help out a COMPLETE newbie to upright playage, i did a search but got nothing so....

I need strings, but have feck all money.. i found a pyramid set (kontrabass Gold) for 61 euro (64 USdollars, 41 Sterling) so:

Pyramid strings: Hell Yay or Dear God nay?

The fact that almost nobody knows them is probably a hint on their value...

If your are really tight on money, I suggest you look at either of these strings:

Corelli nickel wound (380 series), available in three gauges. (M, F and TX)
If you're a jazz player, get either the Forte or Extra Forte gauge.

Thomastik Superflexible. (blue ends)

The Corelli 380's are the cheapest of the two, but I'd myself go with the Superflexibles if I were you.

Pyramid strings

Hello
I once played my friend's bass, Korea ply bass, with Pyramid strings, which is 1 month-installed. (Did not have a chance to try on my bass).
It was really highest tension strings I've played (the set up is 5 mm on G - 8 mm on E at the end of F/B) . Its pizz tone is bright with metalic age.

IMO, for the budget, I vote on 380TX.
